El Lagar de Baco is a wine shop with a restaurant in Yaiza, in southern Lanzarote. It is not a producing winery: people come here to buy wine and sit down to eat. The kitchen mixes tapas and Canarian dishes with international recipes, with plenty of Ibérico cured meats, cheeses, meats and fish. For wine travellers, the draw is the retail side and the chance to drink wine with a meal, not vineyard or barrel visits. Music is part of the place, which gives it more of a bar-restaurant feel than a tasting room. Its Facebook page is active and has several thousand followers, so that is where to check what is being served and whether anything new is on. There is no indication that it runs guided tastings or tours, so it is worth confirming before making the trip. Yaiza sits close to the La Geria wine area, which makes it a sensible food stop on a route around the island's wines.
