CASA DEL VINO CANARIO

VinotecaTinajo · La Geria5.0 · 8 reviews● Open to visitorsChecked on 2026-10-19

The Casa del Vino Canario is not a winery but a wine shop devoted to the islands, set beside the Monumento al Campesino, César Manrique's tribute to Lanzarote's farming past. The shelves bring together bottles from several Canary Islands, with native grapes such as Malvasía Volcánica, Listán Negro and Negramoll, plus small producers whose wines rarely leave the archipelago. Vicenta Mira, the sommelière behind the project, guides visitors through the selection according to taste and runs themed tastings and workshops — Canarian sparkling, single-varietal flights, sessions built around the stories behind each bottle — where the talk is about volcanic soil, ash and the choices made in the cellar, not only about aromas. For wine travellers it works as a compact overview of the Canarian scene before heading out to individual bodegas. Gift boxes, wine accessories and vine-inspired jewellery are also on sale. Book ahead if you want to taste.
