Wineries with a restaurant or terrace in Lanzarote

Only four wineries have a kitchen among their services. At the other wine addresses, the table belongs to the wine shops and the wine bars, and almost everything depends on which day and at what hour you turn up.

A tasting visit usually ends with an empty glass and lunch still unsolved. Sitting down to eat inside a winery is the exception, not the rule. El Grifo turns it into a bookable experience, Rubicón adds a tavern and concerts to its terrace, and at Bodega La Geria and at David Fernández's house the restaurant simply appears among the services, with no further detail.

The rest of the table plan goes to the wine shops and the wine bars, which on the island work as a midday restaurant, an afternoon terrace or an evening tapas bar. And the hours rule more than they seem to: most close on Sunday, and of the wineries only two open at the weekend.

Sitting down to eat at the winery

The only plan that joins visit, table and published price is El Grifo's. Its Wine Lovers & Gastronomy experience costs 95 € per person, with booking recommended in advance. The guided visit lasts two hours and covers vineyard, museum and family house, and then comes the table: a menu at the house's restaurant, in Mozaga, which the website describes as cooked by its chef and paired with the winery's wines. Six wines are tasted in total, groups never exceed ten people and the table is for adults only. The winery's hours, Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 18:30, make it plain: this is a weekday plan.

At Bodegas Rubicón the terrace is used without paying entry, within opening hours, and the guided visit slots in just before the table. The Entre Muros y Viñedos Centenarios visit starts at 13:30, lasts 45 minutes and costs 22 €, with a reduced entry of 5 € for ages 11 to 17. Tavern and restaurant figure in its offer, and the house asks that the visit be booked in advance, with comfortable clothes and sun protection for the part that runs through the vineyard. Every so often the winery turns into a concert hall: on Friday 23 October there is a jazz session titled Del bolero al jazz, with entry of 25 € at 19:00.

Bodega La Geria is the classic stop on the road, the one that has gathered more than four thousand reviews on Google, and it opens every day. The 10:00 guided visit runs daily with no published price, and you book it from its website. The restaurant counts among its services, though with no kitchen detail, so the solid part is the visit and the tasting.

The wine bar at the foot of the vineyard

Next to El Grifo's winery, on the same LZ-30 road, is the house's wine bar, the easy route for anyone who wants to try the wine sitting down without signing up for a visit. There are fifteen house wines by the glass, almost all at 6 €, and three-wine tastings with commentary for 12 €. The short Canarian small-plates list goes from the board of five cheeses with guava jam, at 16,50 €, to almogrote with sourdough bread, at 9,50 €, and on to hand-carved Iberian ham, at 22,50 € for the 100-gram plate. The published menu is dated August 2026 and the prices include IGIC, the Canarian tax. The terrace has limited seats and opens Monday to Friday from 10:30 to 18:30, always in daylight.

In the south, two terraces in Playa Blanca

At the far south, in Marina Rubicón, Brunchi Lanzarote Gifts & Wine is a wine and spirits shop with a terrace. The tasting happens without booking: four glasses of the island's volcanic wines for 14 €, Monday to Saturday and first come, first served. It declares a single language, English. The shop keeps around a hundred wines and around eight hundred spirits, among them the main ones of Lanzarote, and opens in two shifts, from 10:00 to 15:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00.

El Lagar de Baco is at once a wine shop and a restaurant, in a venue in Playa Blanca. Its own description announces Canarian and international fusion tapas, Iberian charcuterie, cheeses, meats and fish, with music. It opens every day from 12:00 to 23:00 without a break, so it solves both lunch and dinner, and its only web page is its Facebook profile.

For dinner: Arrecife and Puerto del Carmen

Dinner with a glass in hand has two safe addresses. In Puerto del Carmen is La Rika, on calle Toscon, a small house of signature tapas that its website defines as made with local produce. The menu runs from dates stuffed with goat cheese and cured pork belly to pear carpaccio with blue cheese and Canary palm honey. In the guest reviews the owner's service keeps coming up, she explains each dish, and the 5.0 score across 169 Google reviews backs it up. It opens Monday to Saturday from 19:00 to 23:00, closes on Sunday and takes table bookings from its website.

In Arrecife, Katu describes itself as a small-plates tavern specialising in Canary wines, and that is the exact plan: a glass, a tapa, then another, next to the small square off calle Ramón Manchón. Its hours have a logic of their own: from 18:00 to 22:00 Monday to Wednesday and on Friday, Thursday adds a midday shift from 12:00 to 14:00, and Saturday opens at midday only, from 12:00 to 15:00. It does not open on Sunday, and on Google it carries a 4.9 with 187 reviews.

The north, in the morning

David Fernández's winery, in Guatiza up north, opens Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 14:00 and closes at the weekend, so there is no afternoon shift. By his own account he is one of the island's young vine growers, and he works small parcels scattered across Lanzarote. The five-wine tasting costs 25 €. The full visit, an hour and a half at 35 €, walks through the vineyard and goes down into the winery carved into the volcanic rock, with groups capped at ten people. A restaurant also figures in his offer, with no published detail, and the day is best planned around the tasting.

Before you book the table

Of almost all these kitchens there is no published menu, and in none of them is it stated whether the table books separately from the visit. When the meal is the centre of the day, the phone sorts it out before anything else. Where booking is clear is in the plans: El Grifo's menu and Rubicón's visit ask for advance notice, and Brunchi works exactly the other way round, without booking and in order of arrival. And Sunday bites: of the nine addresses, only Bodegas Rubicón, Bodega La Geria and El Lagar de Baco open.

The table, depending on the day

If the meal is the reason for the day, El Grifo's menu settles visit and table in one go, and at Rubicón the 13:30 visit leaves the afternoon served for the tavern. If what you want is a glass and something to nibble, the wine bar's terrace runs in daylight and the tapas of La Rika and Katu run at night. And if the plan comes at the last minute, Brunchi asks for no booking and El Lagar de Baco opens every day, from midday to night.
